چکیده

Architecturesparalì eles, bases de données, réseaux et systèmes distribués Abstract: We present a model for a library of synchronous VLSI components, which describes both their function and their timing diagrams, without describing the internal implementation of the circuit. Our model is based on Synchronous Data Flow, with extentions to model VLSI circuits, and to verify that a system designed with VLSI components from our library is properly synchronized. Initialization and termination conditions are explicitly checked.

Application of SVC on Large Synchronous Motors Based on LOC Design (RESEARCH NOTE)

This paper describes the application of static var compensators, (SVC) on an electrical distribution network containing two large synchronous motors, one of which is excited via a three-phase thyristor bridge rectifier. The second machine is excited via a diode bridge rectifier. Based on linear optimization control (LOC), the measurable feedback signals are applied to the control system loops o...

Spice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits

An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...

Prototyping of VLSI components from a formal specification

We present a trajectory from formal speciication to component, which can be used to prototype applications which combine oo-the-shelf components and custom hardware, provided they meet the constraints of Synchronous Data Flow. The formal speciication allows us to prove that custom components will be correctly synchronized in a system context. We rst introduce VLSI Synchronous Data Flow, elabora...

A clock power model to evaluate impact of architectural and technology optimizations

The clock distribution and generation circuitry forms a critical component of current synchronous digital systems and is known to consume at least a quarter of the power budget of existing microprocessors. We propose and validate a high level model for evaluating the energy dissipation of the clock generation and distribution circuitry, including both the dynamic and leakage power components. T...
